Make ready 1 bunch palak
Make ready 1 bunch mustard leaves
Take 1 tbsp chopped green leaves of garlic/or garlic chopped
Take 1 chilli
Get as per taste Salt
Take 1/4 tsp haldi powder
Get 1 tsp red chili powder
Get 1 tsp coriander powder
Take 2 tbsp ghee
Make ready 1/4 cup water
Get pinch Hing
Prepare 1-2 whole red chilies
Make ready 1/4 tsp chopped ginger
Steps to make Sarson ka Saag:
Wash palak and mustard (sarso) leaves properly.In a pressure cooker put both the leaves together along with chopped garlic leaves/ garlic and green chili. Add 1/4 cup of water and boil it.switch off the flame after 2-whistle.
Open the lid of the pressure cooker, with a hand blender blend it properly.
Take a pan, add ghee to it. Add Jeera, hing, chopped garlic and ginger. Saute it. When it changes its color add chopped onion. Saute it till it’s little bit brown.
Add haldi powder, red chili powder, coriander powder. Mix properly. Now add palak n mustard leaves purée /paste to it. Stir and mix properly.cook for few minutes. For tempering-Heat a tadka pan. Add ghee, heat it. Add hing and whole dry red chili 🌶 to it. Put it on the cooked mustard saag. Your mustard (sarso) saag is ready to serve with makki roti.
